Conan without Borders | Travels to Australia

02.17.2019 – A few days ago Conan O’Brien officially announced through his social media that his next “Conan without Borders” travel segment is heading to the land down under in Australia. Of course, a lot are excited for this as an interesting adventure for the orange haired legendary talk show host.

Hugh Jackman, one of the famed Aussie celebrities who is popular in Hollywood has invited him for this one time opportunity to visit the country. He also revealed this in his monologue during Tuesday’s episode that he’s making the trip next week.

Sunday Market | Grayish Weekend Sale

08.06.2018 – Every first Sunday Mornings in South Australia is something to look forward to with Sunday Market, a once-a-month offering seeing random sellers from fresh foodies to antique and random things you don’t often see in retail. It has become sort of a ritual to most that would go out in the field despite the weather it brings.

Personally, it’s a welcoming sight to see yard sales and random old things that you don’t normally see everyday. There are some eye catching things that are pretty much impressive to look at.

You don’t see this in an Asian country like the Philippines or any non-Western region to have such interesting things to see.

Around Adelaide | Shin Tokyo

08.03.2018 - Adelaide may be considered a ‘sleepy’ and quaint town, but in the bigger picture as a state itself South Australia is a place for exploration. Every single day I pass by Rundle Mall there’s always something new to see even throughout the winter season and you never go wrong about being into a hobby of collectibles.

Shin Tokyo is one of a very few stores that carries import products from Japan and some collectibles from the US not sold on Australian retail market.

But their bread and butter are the Japanese products ranging from Bandai’s ever popular Gunpla to popular Japanese anime series and OVAs just to name a few to see in this store.

Ocean's Eight | Cleverly Underrated

07.25.2018 – There have been numerous heist films that has been adapted with diverse concepts, but there’s nothing like the original. The Ocean’s Trilogy changed the way you watch these types of film. It became commercialized that many had follow suit to produce their own heist movie.

With that you got to find something original worthy of the audience’s attention. Ocean’s Eight seems to be a refreshing look that spins-off from the trilogy. This time its features an all-women ensemble cast featuring Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett leading a new crew.

Cove Civic Centre | Marion Libraries

07.02.2018 – Libraries are essential to every community and in South Australia every suburb has it. In the City of Marion, there are three libraries that support this endeavor of learning and reading for children as well as adults too. I spent most the time at the Marion Library located at the back of Westfield Marion just opposite Bunnings Warehouse since its close where I reside.

But never have the chance to explore the other three libraries not until yesterday when a friend offered to drive up to Hallett Cove to accompany him to assisting in search for car parts. Of course, I had to oblige to save up taking Adelaide Metro on a Saturday morning. It was also good timing to visit another friend who organized a photography workshop as the Cove Civic Centre that day too.

State Heritage | Brighton Civic Centre

06.05.2018 – There are certain things “Nostalgia” can’t replace by just reminiscing it, but having a piece of that still physically existing at the same time it is still well-maintained by those who make sure “History is Alive,” In Australia, it is very important that something lie buildings or a structure that’s been around could be considered a State Heritage Listed for its significance in that particular place.

If you are always someone who drives off along Jetty Road before ending up soaking up waves of Brighton Beach there’s an intersection you will find an Art Deco-style building in white that has been completely covered up that very familiar from this area would know the story behind it, which is the familiar Brighton Civic Centre.

Workshop Life | Dismantling a Mazda 2 Engine

06.02.2018 – A mechanic’s life appears underrated and normally for some car owners thinks its nothing but a job. But the reality is a very challenging experience for someone who only appreciated cars for their aesthetics and not how they work.

That would probably me a few years ago until I took a course study and have hands-on experience with workshop life. For those who are looking to buy a car that doesn’t know anything about getting one this story must bee for you.

The week long placement was an experience that comes along with not just anything about cars it’s not only the skill about having patience.

Bunnings Trade Expo | One-Stop Event

05.24.2018 – Bunnings Warehouse is a well-known Household Hardware chain that has been around since 1887, but only expanded its branches in the 1990s.

It's currently the go-to place for anything that you plan for you DIY (Do It Yourself). The company has branches all over Australia, New Zealand, UK, and Ireland.

Its one of the biggest hardware stores in Australia that whenever you think of buying something for the house like lightbulb replacement or need to fix a doorknob that a drive to Bunnings is the next best thing.

They also have an event called Bunnings Expo a mini tradeshow held annually.

A Year After | Life in Australia

05.22.2018 – What a year it has been to live in a foreign country I hardly know.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have this opportunity to have experience what its like to live far away from home and to be honest its not as easy at may seem. I have travelled to other places but living in one changes the perspective entirely. Not only it gives you a different look at life but theay you connect with people.

Travel is good it opens your eyes to what other countries culture is different from the one you used to all your life, but living longer going through the day teaches you anywhere its not what everyone thought was a breeze

South Australian Museum | Museum Day

05.21.2018 – Yesterday was International Museum Day, were they are open without the need to pay for entry.

I’ve been going to this annual event just to look around and see the undiscovered culture that you may not find it in books or have not seen it in person to have the chance to learn about history.

This probably the first time I’ll be sort of celebrating this event in South Australia.

I’ve been going to “Museum Day” in Ayala Museum for the past three years, but for this year I head down to the South Australian Museum in downtown Adelaide.

ExiMax Premiere Night | Deadpool 2

05.17.2018 – The sequel for Deadpool has started screening in other parts of the region, but for South Australians they get the first glimpse of ‘The Merc with the Mouth” last night as Palace Nova organized a premiere night screening for the fans who read the book and seen the original film.

In this cold autumn night revelry of support was in the air for those who trooped to the Palace Nova at Eastend.

You can say a ’hole in the wall’ kind of movie theatre at the heart of downtown Adelaide that has been around to cater fans to catch up on the latest flicks and Deadpool is not exceptional as one of the must-anticipated movies for this year is certainly worth watching this week.

Brickstameet | Adventure at Mt. Lofty

04.30.2018 - It was an eventful Sunday going up the Adelaide Hills would be something to tell a story about. But going up there poses quite an amount of challenge.

I’m very fortunate and appreciative to have a good and loving community around me that you really feel part of a group, and I was grateful to have them.

I’m talking about the SBLUG (Southern Bricks LEGO® Group), which held their recent community members for some “Brickstameet,” which is held every two months on an on-location “Toy Photography” gather featuring each member’s favourite LEGO® minifigure or set that they can use as subject for their photography.

ANZAC Day 2018 | Lest We Forget

04.26.2018 – Australia has a lot of stories from their past through their culture heritage.

They also have so many holidays that it’s true about them being laid back kind of community. But when it comes to important national holidays this country takes it to heart how important this day would be for everyone and you'll feel like it has become part of your life too.

And then there’s ANZAC Day, a national day of remembering from Australia and New Zealand that broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders "who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations" and "the contribution and suffering of all those who have served".

Road Trip Nowhere | Port Germain & Beyond

04.24.2018 – The day after staying at Skytrek and Willow Springs Station it was fairly like how you try to get u in the morning. I’ve been up since 6 AM. It was cold hardly my young ward I roomed at his tent had difficulty trying to get some sleep. There were some good stories last night and the hilarious ones at my expense.

First time campers for these group was a bit of fun not that I didn’t enjoy it, but it was the experience in-between the narrative that surely was a pleasant look at the individuals how getting to know them was an experience in this entire trip.

You can surely find it interesting how things unfold when we went to the next destination of this road trip.

Road Trip Nowhere | Rough Road to Willow Springs

04.23.2018 – Camping is South Australia’s past time that also includes boating and fishing for the reason there’s even a store named after these three activities (namely BCF), which has been the reason why Aussies continue to cultivated this as a hobby.

But if you have immigrants particularly Asians taking the deep dive into camping expect hilarious scenes aching to American reality shows with that kind of flavour,

This gives you a good story and idea to share and new adventures told in a quite entertaining perspective by someone who is the only English speaking individual namely me.

Sunday Market | The Summer Breeze

02.05.2018 – There’s nothing like an early morning stroll around the suburbs and ending up in the Marion Oval, where you can see the monthly Sunday Market happens. The weather was fine and dandy on a summer’s day and it was clear blue skies all the way. Rarely, you’ll ever experience this happening each month but it sure is a place to just see people and interact with them.

Each month’s Sunday Market brings something new to the eyes. But the usual theme is the fresh food and the antique finds that you’ll get a neat bargain if you got that interest for. Sunday’s the family gatherings but for today it’s a stroll to the market, and seeing some neat stuff is a sure dig through the tables and pathways that is also meeting up with new people around.

Cars & Coffee Blackwood | Morning Meet-Up

01.29.2018 – The car culture in South Australia is alive and thriving. If you’re into cars and anything that propel you to point A to B chances are you attend local car shows or private car meets in your country. Of course, the car meets in South Australia is interactive with their owners and enthusiasts sharing their stories.

There have been several car meets organized by passionate gearheads all over the state and each of these events are sometimes specifically themed to the brand or from the era, and sometimes from its country of origin. There have been quite a few stories here and there. But the most I’ve been was the Cars & Coffee at Blackwood.

Adelaide Life | Weekend Trip to Port Hughes

01.28.2018 – The Long Weekends became just a blur now with so many things happening all at once. The summer break wasn’t that intense if you want to know how the extreme weather factors in compared to last year. There’s so many things to express how things now going on probably a third year living overseas.

I’m already way too familiar with the end of Friday as considered ‘Australia Day’ since the first visit as a tourist in 2013, and I used to work in a BPO company almost a decade ago that handled an Australian company that I never expected ending here physically was possible. The culture and currents events opened a perspective too.

The Last Jedi | It Ended Before Awakens

12.20.2017 – By now you’ll probably have seen The Last Jedi in cinemas or you’re one of those fortunate bloggers I’m sure you’re selling it big time to see this film.

I’m actually holding back what I should be saying, but now I’ve seen it I’d say I’m practically half-impressed at the same time. Meh.

The Force Awakens is what brought everyone back to the galaxy from far away. Like everyone bedazzled I was as Yoda would probably say. But this one certainly is not channelling Empire Strikes Back like some who did a marathon the last 7 films.
