Ocean's Eight | Cleverly Underrated

07.25.2018 – There have been numerous heist films that has been adapted with diverse concepts, but there’s nothing like the original. The Ocean’s Trilogy changed the way you watch these types of film. It became commercialized that many had follow suit to produce their own heist movie. With that you got to find something original worthy of the audience’s attention. Ocean’s Eight seems to be a refreshing look that spins-off from the trilogy. This time its features an all-women ensemble cast featuring Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett leading a new crew.

12.09.2015 – Creed is a spinoff from the Rocky films, but this movie is something special for those who follow the sport boxing. The feel and the thematic story is like the original Rocky with more focused of course to Adonis Creed. There have been films aside from Rocky are set with narrative centered on the sport of boxing. In reality is a difficult life many fighters go through life and it’s no different when the illegitimate son of a former fighter trying to find his own way.

12.03.2015 – Sly Stallone is an icon known for his films like Rocky portraying Rocky Balboa, Rambo, and Expendables franchises. His recent reprising of Rocky Balboa in the upcoming Creed has received critical acclaim. Now the National Board of Review Names Stallone Best Supporting Actor for “Creed” after six previous films this one certainly will give long time fans, and introducing the character to a new generation with a knockout punch.

08.19.2015 – “Hitman: Agent 47” is based on the videogame that also produced a film previously in 2007 unrelated to this one. This new Hitman is not a follow up but a reboot and has more interesting narrative that features Rupert Friend as Agent 47. The action-adventure film certainly delivered explosive visuals set from Berlin to Singapore. It also features Hannah Ware and Zachary Quinto (Star Trek Beyond) that differs from its previous film. 08.11.2015 – If you’ll consider this year has a theme and it’s about spies, espionage and secret agents. Man from U.N.C.L.E. is not you’re typically spy film and what makes it unique is that Guy Ritchie has made this film authentic. There are a lot of spy films out there and this one would is impossible to set in a modern era even change the way it was originally made. The concept what makes this film quite intriguing as how Warner Bros. is promoting this film seemed interesting.

07.24.2015 – “The Good Lie” at first appears to be a documentary of Sudan survivors, but as the movie rolls it shows how harsh reality can be somewhere in Africa. The poster lures you away from its true narrative that features Reese Witherspoon. But the movie tells more about these survivors of their tribe and how they had a second chance at life. It was originally screened during the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival a well-deserved movie that teaches us a lesson and importance of life.
