![]() | 10.28.2019 – Halloween ComicFest is an annual event promoting literacy through giving away comicbooks at the same time trick or treating for kids who would be encouraged to find interest in reading them.
In short, it’s the Halloween version of Free Comic Book Day in a small scale that is more targeted to a general audience. The event started in 2012 and in the Philippines Comic Odyssey and Fully Booked became pioneers of celebrating this annual event. Filbar’s did participate a couple times, but for the succeeding years, they along with other local shops had shifted focused heavily to celebrate comicbooks through FCBD instead. |

The Little Box of Appreciation.
02.28.2012 – Two weeks ago I received news about another box arriving from San Francisco. I was informed by my good friend that he had sent it through his in-laws and as expected it came for to pick it up on February 15th. Now is that odd to have a post-Valentine present? Of course it was expected that it would be arriving any time soon but I didn’t expect to get it well after Valentines Day. Though this is like just below one-third of the one I got in December it has lots of love. Actually this is the third time to receive a package and I think I owe more than appreciation in return |

Train Commuters: Don't Block The Doors?!
04.12.2011 - The MRT Metro Rail Transit has been one of the basic public mass transportation service in the Philippines. How can anyone have chosen to take the bus or the jeepney for something fast and convenient? But the MRT has been showing its age lately since it has been operational since 2001, and the neglect is certainly showing with mishaps and lack of trains recently.
Most commuters take the train during peak hours because it is fast and voiding traffic. But recently it has become challenging for the most packed transportation service along with the LRT-1 (Light Rail Transit). But most of the time, it's not always that crowded in certain hours. The mornings and after-hours take that bulk, but recently the trains have taken a lot of hours to arrive and they have not been on time lately. |

Gloriaquino vs. Villaroyo?
When you read about the presidential candidates these day its hard to choose the one, that speaks out of your mind. With the black propaganda happening left in right it gets difficult to finding the truth between each one of them. Some might not talk about them religiously who they want. Others would just stay silent, and decide their votes on election day instead. I'm accounted for those who stay silent until the day I cast my vote, but honestly I don't have anyone in mind right now just like the few who stayed quiet.
