Random Snaps | SM Manila to Post Office

01.30.2020 – Thursday afternoon had a fine weather in Manila as people come and go you see just another normal day in the capital city of the Philippines. But there have been quite a struggle in the news with the volcanic eruption, an earthquake in another country, the viral epidemic, and tragic deaths all over the world that includes one of the greatest basketball players on the planet.

But like most people all over the world Filipinos are resilient and will try to make the toughest day might not be the best. But a silver lining in appreciating everyday such as some images taken on a random walk throughout the commercial can give you an idea how Manila is coping from the news these past few days.

Traffic Horror Tales | 3 Hour Quiapo Trip

09.26.2019 – The month of September is almost done and as the day goes by traffic has become far worse than you’ll ever think to live in a densely populated area in the Philippines.

Every day it has become part of the daily grind for most Filipinos living in a city as things have become gloriously terrible by the hour.

If the local mass transportation has not evolved in the last two decades and the dwindling sidewalks that include proper pick-up points were not enough to be taken out by road widening projects. Then things get more horrible than the usual horror stories you encounter every day while on the road in this part of the country.

Phail Arrival at the IMAX Theater.

06.29.2011 - Transformers: Dark of the Moon press media started its screening on the Coca-cola IMAX Theater at SM Mall of Asia by 6PM. It's the usual thing with press media screenings for those who get to see the movie first before the regular release date.

The traffic was horrible on a Tuesday and it was certainly has become the "normal" thing for those who regularly commute. But the weather was convincing enough to be more tolerable than the past few days of heavy downpours.

Post-Independence Day Midnight Mishap.

06.13.2011 - A little over two or almost three hours ago while walking along Chino Roces (formerly Pasong Tamo) on the way to a drinking place called Obeertime there was a commotion by the intersection that caught a lot of the people's attention.

This is where the second closest location of a 7 Eleven store, a place I usually go to buy newspaper on a Sunday that a few feet a away there was an accident that involve a Suzuki van that was caught in the middle of the center island.

Train Commuters: Don't Block The Doors?!

04.12.2011 - The MRT Metro Rail Transit has been one of the basic public mass transportation service in the Philippines. How can anyone have chosen to take the bus or the jeepney for something fast and convenient? But the MRT has been showing its age lately since it has been operational since 2001, and the neglect is certainly showing with mishaps and lack of trains recently.

Most commuters take the train during peak hours because it is fast and voiding traffic. But recently it has become challenging for the most packed transportation service along with the LRT-1 (Light Rail Transit). But most of the time, it's not always that crowded in certain hours. The mornings and after-hours take that bulk, but recently the trains have taken a lot of hours to arrive and they have not been on time lately.
