Marion Library | Renew and Returns

01.13.2018 – Libraries in Australia is one the best places to find some quiet time and a good book to read. It’s very much alive that reading an actual book or browsing the latest magazine is probably a novelty in some countries that slowly being phased out as ‘cost cutting’ without thinking it still has benefits for most people.

I found a place to study or catch up reading some interesting topics, but rarely I borrow and take it home.

The first book I borrowed was overdue last January 11th, which was renewed for another month and now its time to return it.

Thoughts About | Inside Marion's Library

11.29.2017 – Libraries are an essential part of society that’s one part of helping educate not only future generations, but also a place of information, arts, entertainment, and culture.

The modern library now is not just about books it’s also a place for learning.

These days the library in the Philippines is considered ‘a lost art’ as most people born after the internet explosion is either glued to their Facebook and other social media.

But in Australia for a country that’s forward thinking and keeping up with modern times has kept their libraries modernized and updated that seemingly impressive.

The Myth: The Black Saturday Shoot Out!

04.23.2011 - There's usually a downtime during the Holy Week, and there's not much to do until a day before Easter. This was the unplanned thing about having some buddies for this Black Saturday Meet-up that is slowly becoming a yearly tradition since 2009.

Originally, it was a speacil time with fellow fans of a classic cartoon from the 1980s, but it turns out to be a hang out of sort at my place. For this year, we got to play some games for Nintendo's Wii Sport Resort that's been quite inviting for some non-console gaming participants.

Train Commuters: Don't Block The Doors?!

04.12.2011 - The MRT Metro Rail Transit has been one of the basic public mass transportation service in the Philippines. How can anyone have chosen to take the bus or the jeepney for something fast and convenient? But the MRT has been showing its age lately since it has been operational since 2001, and the neglect is certainly showing with mishaps and lack of trains recently.

Most commuters take the train during peak hours because it is fast and voiding traffic. But recently it has become challenging for the most packed transportation service along with the LRT-1 (Light Rail Transit). But most of the time, it's not always that crowded in certain hours. The mornings and after-hours take that bulk, but recently the trains have taken a lot of hours to arrive and they have not been on time lately.
