Galerie Raphael | Wonderfully Made

Everyone needs inspiration, it could be anything and everywhere to create something optimistic for everyone to strive for in everyday life. “Wonderfully Made” is the title of this two-artist exhibition, which celebrates something good and beautifully crafted that would possibly motivate a random stranger to be inspired to create something that would pass on this motivation in another shape or form.

Jomike Tejido and Haraya Ocampo collaborate to produce ‘something like that’ with lots of colours and well-meaningful creations through their artwork for their second time to collaborate to produce a celebrated art show that would not only include new paintings from both artists, but it also accompanied by a wooden sculpture.

It is rare to see a husband and wife team up to put up a great art exhibition. It feels like being in a family but with tight-knit individuals, you’ve only met when you enter the Galerie Raphael that has recently opened as Jomike would mention that he and Haraya were the fifth artists to ever grace this gallery.

The family atmosphere not only channels through the interest in art, but it can be coming from anywhere with this art show. It can be about a hobby unrelated to this show or it has something to do with the food served the way that the kids would enjoy popcorn, some pastries, and a can of soda that feels like you’re not out of place, because you are with the company among friends.

This collaboration certainly was wonderfully made with the vibe of Fiesta from Jomike, and the continuous bloom that started with Haraya’s solo show last year has been a success for both artists with their families and friends it sure was warm to be part of it and so the artwork they have put together for two months for this show.

In case you missed out on all the festivities during the artists’ reception, here are some of the images of the art pieces as well as the artists themselves…

"Wonderfully Made" is the second collaboration with Jomike Tejido and Haraya Ocampo-Tejido, which will have its exhibit from 9 until 18 December 2023 at Galerie Raphael in Robinsons Magnolia.
