Anticipating Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close!
02.23.2012 – Finally! Another movie to watch and my Academy Award bet is “Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close” which stars Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock and featuring Thomas Horn as the young Oskar Schell. There’s another talented individual in this film which is Max von Sydow a nominee for the Academy Award for a supporting role. I have seen the movie trailer many times and had read the press materials that made me curious about this film. So far the Academy Award caliber films I’ve seen so far are J. Edgar and The Descendants which made me look forward to Extremely Loud. There’s something about this film that I can’t ignore among the previous films I’ve seen.

Max Von Sydow an Academy Award Nominee in Extremely Loud!
02.22.2012 – Max von Sydow is a French-Swedish actor and he gives chills to my spin when I first saw him appear in the trailer of the upcoming film of Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close. I have not heard about him generally but he looms big in other critically acclaimed films that get featured in film festivals. I'm a regular screen buff but not that hardcore to see “Hanna and Her Sister” or “Lassefar in Pelle the Conqueror” in which he received his first Academy Award nomination. In 2012, he gets a nomination for the second time in a supporting role for Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close.

The Phantom Menace in the Star Wars Press Media Gala Premier!
02.09.2012 – The star studded affair in the Philippine press screening of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace in 3D was phenomenal. The weekend ends with a bang in seeing this film after 13 years. I recall buying movie tickets for the midnight screening with friends. Back then I was so excited about the movie that most hardcore fans would turn this film down. I’m a casual Star Wars fan who only got to see the original trilogy for some in their 30s in video cassette formats of Betamax and VHS players. Episode 1: The Phantom Menace was the fourth film directed by George Lucas which definitely made this billion dollar franchise known globally.

The Games Sherlock Holmes Plays.
01.07.2012 – These days there’s lots of ways to entertain you at home. Back in the day the board games was one of the original past times of the modern era. It’s a form of bonding with the family or the entire household. There’s so much different about playing games now compared to those nostalgic times. The advent of the game console has mostly killed off the competition not to mention the growing popularity of handheld devices. Nintendo’s Game Boy started it all for the gamers until the introduction of the tablets such as Apple’s iPad had change the way we find entertainment at home or on the go.
