Kobe Bryant | Mamba Inspired Life

01.29.2020 – More than forty eight hours has been passed and tributes poured in from NBA games to the Staples Center for the tragic death of Kobe Bryant that also include his 13-year old daughter Gianna, six family friends including Coach John Altobelli and his wife and daughter, and the pilot. All on board were killed.

The past couple of days were really somber all over the world who have followed a 17 year old became one of the NBA Greats of All Time. It was a gut wrenching day as mostly described who knew Kobe as a person beyond the basketball player people associate him with. What’s tough is that in his tragic death it also included Gianna, the heir apparent to follow his path in becoming the basketball player we all hope for is also gone.

Mikez Ancheta Tribute | This is Your Wall

12.18.2019 – I’ve met so many good people in the past through the toy collecting community. Some of them has grown and moved on and then there are some left this plain too soon. I used to be part of the Action Figure Philippines (AFP) forums before Facebook took over the social media mainstream.

When you talk about AFP there’s Don Razon, who passed away in 2016 and then there’s Mikez Ancheta.

Both men are close friends and shared bonding time when Don was traveling back and forth from Melbourne to Manila whenever he can up until his passing sometime in October three years ago and now Mikez follows him…

He Was the Last Laugh to Go... Dolphy. (1928-2012)

07.10.2012 – There where several instances or a chance I have seen Dolphy in public places. He is a very simple loving and humble man who ever lived life to the fullest. He inspired and made everyone forget our daily drama through his craft as an actor.

He is indeed the King of Comedy of the Philippines but mostly Dolphy would scoff being addressed as one. His mere presence gives you a clear blue sky filled with a gleaming smile that makes every Filipino proud to be his fan. For all the awards and recognition he has received his statement was that he didn’t make it to the top alone.

Former RX Rusher, Mhate Canales Remembered.

(Photo by Reyzel Cayanan, November 2009)
01.16.2012 – Sometimes the bearer of bad news would come in the form of curiosity. Waking up to find out that friend would no longer be around.

Though she’s not that close a small token of respect to mourn her loss is enough for a few to remember her well.

Exactly 10 days ago a former listener of RX93.1 had passed away. She used to be an avid listener of Monster Radio RX93.1’s The Morning Rush.

Her name is Mhate Canales, if anyone of you can’t recall she used to hang out at the RX booth during the meet up on the last Saturday of the month.

In Memoriam: AJ Matela Remembered.

09.09.2011 - Who is AJ Matela? For some who are new in the blogging community he is the proprietor of the former BaklaAko.com site.

The man has lived and breathes his true self as an individual who stands out among his fellow bloggers.

Flamboyant and talented to his close friends and family we will never see another person like AJ.

Born Ariel James Matela is opinionated and fashionably chic on how he brings himself. He doesn’t have fear to say what he doesn’t like out loud. Though I do not personally know the man but he captured everyone’s attention through his blog.
