09.18.2013 – Carrie a classic horror drama film from 1976 which originally stars Sissy Spacek as Carrie White was announced to be made a remake in 2011.

It was in development for quite some time and definitely one of Stephen King’s novels to be made into film and television.

09.16.2013 – For the Australian born actress Rose Byrne her career seems like is having a great 2013 year appearing in four movies and getting herself back in the horror genre in the sequel for Insidious Chapter 2.

Not anyone has the courage to see this film rather get her sweet smiling scenes with Owen Wilson as a Noogler in The Internship.

Byrne has a flexible career starting with a comedy film in Give it a Year as a high flier, then one of the actors in the Australian independent film for The Turning, and an upcoming documentary in The Unity.

PRESS RELEASE: James Franco in "This is The End."

09.04.2013 – Everyone knows who James Franco is and I’m sure it’s common knowledge what roles he has taken to be active in Hollywood. Of course you know him as the son of the Green Goblin, Oscar Diggs known as the Wizard of Oz, and the guy who cut his hand in 127 Hours in the that biopic.

There are too many credited films for Franco but those stood out from memory that I was privileged to see with the exception of 127 Hours which for some of my esteemed colleagues advice if I had a stomach to watch that crucial scene.

06.27.2012 – Here Comes The Boom stars Kevin James as Scott Voss a former collegiate wrester who is 42 year-old Biology class teacher in a failing high school.

When budget cutbacks look like the might for cancellation in some classes including the school’s music program. This might also lay off his friend who is the teacher of the music program.

Scott begins to raise money by joining in a mixed martial arts competition to fund the program around as the movie’s premise. Kevin James’ character is going to get a serious beating if you haven’t heard about this film.

The Game in Moneyball!

03.02.2012 – Telling a baseball story in film is rare these days. If you have seen the reality of the game it might bore you. For years there are several baseball themed movies that I could recall like A League of Their Own featuring Madonna and Charlie Sheen as Wild Thing in Major League which spawned two sequels.

Moneyball on the other hand had a serious tone that propelled this film to the Academy Awards.

It’s the second baseball film in 23 years following Kevin Costner’s Field of Dreams and was critically acclaimed.
