Louis Vuitton | Bricks & Fashion

When you see LEGO® bricks in places you don’t expect to be it just makes you see it in a different perspective. From an almost 65 year old plastic brick you never expect an ordinary toys would transcend cultures and break boundaries for being originally made for children. These days that’s what you see in a LEGO® brick or some random product that is similar to the famous brand.

Earlier today, while passing through a well-known local mall in the CBD came across the newly renovated section of the commercial district to see Louis Vuitton to the LEGO® bricks that made up of the store’s window display. But not all of it is entirely using the famous construction brand, but it can be seen here that enhanced the display.

LEGO® has been synonymously collaborating with well-known brands, but I’m not sure if this was officially a partnership with the premium brand like Louis Vuitton. I did inquire with the assigned security at the front of the store, and he politely say they were installed during this past weekend, and this was entirely new.

Besides that, the assigned security officer for Louis Vuitton has no idea when the installation will last. But he assumes it will be there for the next couple of months as the other display, besides three mannequins wearing the LV brand standing over a pile of 4x2 bricks while having the entire background made out of LEGO®, and other non-branded bricks is not the only main attraction.

The other display is near the concierge entrance of the shopping centre, and the theme they put up are a pair of Christmas trees made of LEGO® plates while standing on a pile of bricks featuring more LV premium products. It’s not common to see something like this that you can come across unexpectedly and yet here it is.

In case you haven’t been to this part of the shopping centre it is easier to see as this part of the mall is newly renovated for quite some time now, that they have made changes and modernized it’s aesthetics.

When you see Louis Vuitton the first thought about the brand is expensive being a premium brand, and now you made the effort using that brand with LEGO® bricks and other installation making the LV brand less of an exclusive for those with deep pockets. At the same time they obviously address that LEGO® makes their store noticeable, because construction toys is well-known to the masses.

Despite not entirely 100% that they’re using LEGO® bricks mixed with off-brand 4x2 bricks, and yet it draws attention for its popularity. In case you want to see it in –person the two Christmas trees were the winner compared to the mannequins. But both were great attraction that you should see it for yourself.
