| The World is changing every moment in every second that some might not notice, but one thing stayed the same is how we view the world Above and Beyond, which it might sound cliché to ever say it is also the title of a two-man show between Patrick Esmao and Jomike Tejido, which features two art styles that defines this art show.
It is also worth noting that Galerie Joaquin features two of their best artists that continue to churn out some of the best works in contemporary art that few would even take a look. The featured two themes also gives you a view of these two artists take on this project, and present you a fresh perspective of the world we live in as well as how both gives you a contrasting view in how they express it. |
Patrick and Jomike shares how they put together this project under three months, and the way they started out in producing their individual works. This is their first collaboration together and their works already tells a story weave together. But individually they’re works stand to tell their own stories.
Jomike has mastered his craft focusing now on painting aside from being an author of children’s books he has come a long way from his days as an illustrator of a comics strip published in newspapers to creating world of robots from cut outs. Patrick on the other hand is a former teacher and an architect by profession who has been painting in the last 2-3 years who continue to hone is craft.
It’s impressive to note how Patrick’s paintings compliment with Jomike’s as he shares the subjects inspired by his paintings regarding cityscapes and skylines from the cities of Metro Manila as an inspiration. For Jomike shares the contrasting nature scenes through his abstract style works of art.
These men takes us to a journey of grand scale of urban and nature that defines how the world looks fantastic Above and Beyond with each artist 10 paintings, which is impressive.
