Art Asia Gallery: Cana's Kaleidoscope 6!

08.04.2015 – The art scene in the Philippines has been growing and before you know it there have been art galleries located inside shopping malls. Earlier today there were three solo exhibitions that where launched simultaneously.

One of them was a solo show by Franklin Cana Valencia is raising funds for a family friend at the same time paying tribute who had ALS or commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease. This is his 10th solo show featuring his kaleidoscope style art…

The solo show is currently on exhibit in the Art Asia Gallery at Mega of SM Megamall just near the escalators. The solo show features 14 mix media works by Cana as part of his Kaleidoscope 6 works and if you missed the launch earlier these are the images that transpired during the art exhibition:

Details of the art exhibition and the artist are shared regarding Cana’s works and the effort to raise funds on the poster description:

True to its name, "Kaleidoscope 6" features works with a kaleidoscope of themes. It is a testament to the artist's well-spring of creativity that he finds inspiration in both the mundane and the whimsical: jazz music, day dreams on one end, and shanties on the other. For these works, they are Cana's muses. The inspirations are random, but they have nonetheless resulted in beauty; much like a kaleidoscope, whose every movement, intended or not, results in a visual treat.

Part of the proceeds will go to the medical treatment fund of Sophie Borja, who is battling ALS. Sophie Borja is the wife of artist William Borja.

Kaleidoscope 6” will be on exhibit at Art Asia Gallery from August 4 to 18, 2015. For more details visit the gallery at the 4th level of Art Asia in Mega B at SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City.
