The Collective | Priority Needs

It has been more than two months and the easing of the mandatory quarantine doesn’t fit well with most people who has got used to staying indoors. Not all countries have the same protocols but if you’re in Asia most of these restrictions goes beyond what everyone can handle and it shows the difference that the world have the dame experience with this coronavirus pandemic.

It’s ironic that the daily routine I have been used to continue to expand in keeping me challenged at the same time finding a workout since exercise is not from everyone’s mindset. Walking around helps but taking a stroll farther from the usual route is something out of the perspective already was a small feat but an accomplishment.

The Collective | Las Vegas Hookups

02.10.2020 – It has been a while since I have received some appreciation from close friends and relatives. I rarely, share them as I keep things in perspective how these things are unexpected presents from the closest people that I used to hangout that have moved overseas that still don’t forget to be thoughtful.

That last time I receive presents when I was back in Adelaide since I have a friend from another state and another one from Queensland who just recently started a hobby.

This time around my younger sibling from the US was in town for his sister-in-law’s wedding and his trip with the fam was short, but unexpected opportunity.

The Collective | No Good Deal

12.05.2018 – In the Philippines the interest in collecting comics, toys, trading cards, and other things that is a common hobby would be a lucrative business Collectibles Shops expanding not only in Greenhills, but also through social media not just the usual selling sites like eBay. This has been a big thing for most who embrace the collector market because of a huge community.

With that whenever there’s a convention or event there’s bound to be a stall or a table that sells interesting stuff such as one found during the recently concluded Manila Auto Salon that was more about custom cars and impressive exhibits that encompasses the motoring community. It’s surprisingly for such a huge event only less than a handful of sellers where there related to collectible toys.

Random Snaps: Secret Fresh!

08.04.2013 – Earlier this evening I just came from the re-opening of Secret Fresh which featured its first solo exhibit for Mark Orozco Justiniani and his “Orbiter” exclusive designer toy for the Urban Lifestyle store.

The event was graced by close media contacts, friends and celebrities who had the first glimpse of the newly redesigned store.

The art gallery is now located downstairs which is also the main store lobby while the collectibles, previous artworks, and designer clothing are now can be seen at the second level.

The Box of Surprises.

07.22.2013 – This might be the biggest box yet to arrive since the last one last October 2012 and I believe this will occupy my time choosing which one to open up. But there are some stuff as I was advised has already been open to be included.

This has been the fifth one that came from the Bay area but as documented this is the fourth that I have written about. The first one was not packaged in the box but there were a lot of comic books as well as the sketches that I have shared here the other year. This one seems like Christmas in July and why I can never ask for more.

That Brown Box from The Bay Has Arrived.

10.22.2012 – How often do you receive something that you never expected? Rarely you would really appreciate it for all its worth. But for something you no longer crave or being materialistic you put value more on the people who make it possible.

In the case of my friends who find the time to remember what I used to be into. They know how to make your day without ANY expectations.

I no longer find the time or the interest to have those “wants” which some who personally knows me have said that I have outgrown that stage.

Unexpected Non-Toy Con Appreciations!

06.19.2011 - Tired. Exhausted. Drained... But had a great time with close friends and fellow geeks at Toy-Con 2011, which has been bigger this year.

But not what I expected and feeling underwhelmed about how how it was presented though this day was a blessing in disguise.

A fellow balikbayan who has been mostly going home during Christmas is having the time of his life back home from Australia. He finally has his second experience going to Toy-Con after 10 years!

The Collective: Post-Christmas Toy Fair Woes

12.20.2010 - The height of the Holiday Season has been quite hectic over the weekend. Of course, the traffic has been twice as bad traveling to nearby places either a bus or train commute is not going to take you there in less than an hour.

These are considered the busiest times of the season and the challenges of weaving through the traffic are definitely the worst idea to travel by 6 pm on a Sunday. You are going to be thrilled about this year, and because due to budget constraints, the local toy fair is quite underwhelming. Despite all the challenging things that go around a last-minute toy run wasn't terribly a missed opportunity.
