Booksale | Inside the MCS Branch

Bookstores in the Philippines have become a common place, as they serve as an alternative to public libraries that have ceased to exist in the country. Because not everyone can afford brand-new books to use in school or even to have in their personal collection, there were secondhand book shops that provided an alternative.

Booksale is one such store would possibly originated the concept all the way back to 1980. But others have followed in their footsteps in providing affordable reading material for students and bookworms.

There has been conflicting news that books would likely exist in digital editions. But that is not the case, as book fairs and other book events will continue to promote having physical book reading over digital.

Get Into Libraries | Last Returns & Goodbyes

08.18.2018 – It has been a week since leaving Adelaide South Australia and spending the past seven days re-adjusting to the most densely populated and inadequate city in the Philippines and if things have become quite a challenge going through navigating from one city to the other you’ll probably won’t even bother to notice it.

Last Saturday it was my last trip to Marion Libraries located at the back of Westfield Marion. It was the most frequent time spending to study, read up the latest magazine, and also borrowed DVDs and audio CDs that I have the opportunity to appreciate each of them. From old cancelled TV shows to graphic novels that you’ll probably never see it in your nearest bookshop.

Unexpected Non-Toy Con Appreciations!

06.19.2011 - Tired. Exhausted. Drained... But had a great time with close friends and fellow geeks at Toy-Con 2011, which has been bigger this year.

But not what I expected and feeling underwhelmed about how how it was presented though this day was a blessing in disguise.

A fellow balikbayan who has been mostly going home during Christmas is having the time of his life back home from Australia. He finally has his second experience going to Toy-Con after 10 years!
