Halloween ComicFest | Social Activity for Everyone
| 10.28.2019 – Halloween ComicFest is an annual event promoting literacy through giving away comicbooks at the same time trick or treating for kids who would be encouraged to find interest in reading them.
In short, it’s the Halloween version of Free Comic Book Day in a small scale that is more targeted to a general audience. The event started in 2012 and in the Philippines Comic Odyssey and Fully Booked became pioneers of celebrating this annual event. Filbar’s did participate a couple times, but for the succeeding years, they along with other local shops had shifted focused heavily to celebrate comicbooks through FCBD instead. |

That Brown Box from The Bay Has Arrived.
| 10.22.2012 – How often do you receive something that you never expected? Rarely you would really appreciate it for all its worth. But for something you no longer crave or being materialistic you put value more on the people who make it possible.
In the case of my friends who find the time to remember what I used to be into. They know how to make your day without ANY expectations. I no longer find the time or the interest to have those “wants” which some who personally knows me have said that I have outgrown that stage. |

Marvelous: New Toys for the Summer
| 03.16.2012 – I rarely share about my toy collections or what I got today here and mostly the general stuff that goes out here is unrelated to my other blog. But I have previously shared to you the stuff I get from close friends based outside the country. Some of them where unexpected since I never asked for them and out of friendship they just surprise me. I stopped buying toys in a long time and I can only get them when I’m willing and able to afford them. I get them through the gift checks that I receive as a token from previous blog events but rarely buy as I have enough. |

The Little Box of Appreciation.
| 02.28.2012 – Two weeks ago I received news about another box arriving from San Francisco. I was informed by my good friend that he had sent it through his in-laws and as expected it came for to pick it up on February 15th. Now is that odd to have a post-Valentine present? Of course it was expected that it would be arriving any time soon but I didn’t expect to get it well after Valentines Day. Though this is like just below one-third of the one I got in December it has lots of love. Actually this is the third time to receive a package and I think I owe more than appreciation in return |

The Collective: Post-Christmas Toy Fair Woes
| 12.20.2010 - The height of the Holiday Season has been quite hectic over the weekend. Of course, the traffic has been twice as bad traveling to nearby places either a bus or train commute is not going to take you there in less than an hour.
These are considered the busiest times of the season and the challenges of weaving through the traffic are definitely the worst idea to travel by 6 pm on a Sunday. You are going to be thrilled about this year, and because due to budget constraints, the local toy fair is quite underwhelming. Despite all the challenging things that go around a last-minute toy run wasn't terribly a missed opportunity. Jump after the cut... |
