Cartellino Art | New Territories

Collaboration is not just about working out the differences, but also facing challenges in putting together a portfolio that would match together two different styles in an art form or any particular partnership that avoids overlapping each other’s work for a harmonious flow of creativity that would convey an organic equality in making something fresh and new to the eyes of those who would discover it.

It’s like conquering “New Territories” that continue to be relevant, and subjective, and have the inspiration to present new vibrant things that continue to scale the heights of their newfound artistry that they have not done individually, which is the latest two-artist exhibit with CABNOV & Haraya Ocampo-Tejido.

This is their first collaboration together as part of Cartellino’s series of collaborative series of group exhibitions beginning with these two different art styles coming together for a show that celebrates friendship as a catalyst of artistic growth. This collaboration is something to aspire to as both artists outside these works have been longtime friends it certainly makes you see their works mesh together.

The affinity lent them a thorough understanding of each other’s practices and a connection that made them work together, from conceptualizing the exhibit to intentionally swapping colour palettes, a seamless feat that fit together in their harmonious collaboration.

In a small room inside the gallery it makes their works larger than life, and in case you missed out on the artist's reception and opening of their show, here’s a view of their exhibit that is best suited to see it in person. For now, check out these images from CABNOVE and Haraya Ocampo-Tejido’s “New Territories.”

"Territories" is a two-artist exhibit with CABNOV and Haraya Ocampo-Tejido, which is already on exhibit from 6 until 27 September 2024 at Cartellino Art Gallery located inside Galerie Stephanie.
