Secret Fresh | Reason to Live

Nobody wants to be in isolation, and the pandemic has given everyone that part of life being indoors for more than a year. It would be a challenging situation to experience being just in your room not being infected by the virus at the same time not having social interaction with everyone. Interacting virtually is a different experience that makes it hard to go through each day. Sometimes the only outlet is finding the exploration to look at ourselves and what we can do to keep moving. A few would easily give in that there’s no hope of a reason to live in an isolated place. But NARAYAN found a reason to create and make her explore her artistic side further: her solo show “Reasons to Live.”

There have been two shows that were supposed to feature an artist’s reception with Secret Fresh. But due to the impending announcement after the coronavirus Metro Manila lockdown for health and safety reasons this prevented mass gathering and the shows where only open for a limited time, which was only until 6 PM as for the sake everyone Ronac Art Center is not open for business starting this Monday. The only business open are those essentials that will serve like supermarkets, chemist/pharmacy, convenient stores, and banks. In case you missed the limited opportunity to visit this gallery they have unveiled Ronilo Abayan’s first solo art show with Secret Fresh, which was supposed to be exhibit until 26 March 2020.

Secret Fresh | Brokenness & Breakthrough

Sometimes art inspires you and put focus into what you really want to do in life. It gives you great perspective and let you express yourself through the different facets of your emotion in putting together the pieces that truly an inspiration in such way some people are not gifted of that rare skill. Coeli Manese has been churning up show after art show with her passion and unique ability to put together some of the interesting pieces in her ever growing career in the contemporary art scene. Despite no formal training she honed and skills through trial and error to put up some impressive works that is now presented in her first solo art show with Secret Fresh that was formally launched last night.

Secret Fresh | Solo Art Show Sunday

01.22.2020 – Last Sunday Secret Fresh open up its second set of Solo Shows featuring three women in their first exhibit at the main gallery. The event was celebrated with food, drinks, and music. It was another social event to wrap up the second week of 2020 as Secret Fresh does is best. Tyang Karyel and Camsy Valencia occupies the main gallery with their impressive works that certainly populating colourful pieces of art while the Gallery B is where you can find Jade Suayan. For this art show you’ll find the two later talents with their works as well as the gallery perspective at the crowded Ronac Art Gallery.

Secret Fresh | Troubled Turf

01.07.2020 – What if you challenge Street Artists to produce a different style from their usual concepts and put them together in a very ensemble group show? You’ll find it more interesting on how the results of their work would give you a fresh look at how they made it happen and that’s where it went down during its launch. “Troubled Turf” is one collective exhibit featuring Secret Fresh’s best of the best talents in contemporary art. It is a visceral experience to go through each canvas at the Sixinch Gallery and that’s how it turned out with the local talents in the country featured in this rare group show that defined how an artist is defined for their impressive work in this show.

12.04.2019 – There art that define emotion and imbued with so many aspect of expression. It brings you to the realm of what the artists is trying to convey in their works, which define how they become a subject of interest and curiosity. And then there’s Paul Magisa, a masterful visual artists who has defined his work of shapes. It gives you that challenge to define what his works is all about at the same time gives you that calm perspective to analyse those shapes and tone of the canvas that he puts together that defines “The Sum of its Parts” as his latest solo art show, a first with Secret Fresh Gallery this recent Sunday at the Ronac Art Center in San Juan, Manila.

The recipe to a successful street artist like Quiccs can attest of that and the long process was almost five years in the making. Quiccs Maquez has made it and had put the country in the map taking the next level as an international toy designer and building the Bullet Punk brand to its prominence is not a small feat. But teamwork behind the man and the TEQ63 is no one-man show that can be seen to yesterday’s first solo art show that he already made it.

Secret Fresh + EXLDMANILA | The Prussian Channel

12.17.2018 - Secret Fresh ends the year with a new exhibit featuring Pilipinas Street Plan’s EXLD Manila aka JJ Zamoranos, who continues to innovate and experiment new styles in making contemporary art refreshingly impressive that is insanely thought provoking. A painting that combines serious Prussian blue tones with mixed pop art inspiration. “The Prussian Channel” is a jigsaw puzzle of interspersed pop culture and cartoon forms incorporated within the silhouettes of wildlife animals. The artist was up for the challenge the he’s been wanting to take his art style to the next level that is rarely seen to some who just want to stay in the medium that made them known, but not for EXLD Manila who continue to relevant with his latest solo show.

Toy Art PH | 5 Creatives at Toy Festival 2018

12.16.2018 – While the rest of the hobby community trooped to SM Megamall’s Megatrade Hall in another part of the city a new gathering has begun. This is the Toy Art PH: Toy Festival 2018, a different kind of ‘toy’ related event not to be confused by the usual toy festivals that happens annually in the country. Designer Toy Art is not your conventional toy gathering where you buy action figures and other properties. But an event about toy sculptures much like the Art Fairs that has been widely visited by the mainstream populace. This is not a toy event for children but it caters to everyone who appreciates a different form of art.

05.27.2011 - Its been a while since i went to Secret Fresh located at the RONAC Art Center in Greenhills, San Juan. It is one of the coolest urban culture scenes in Metro Manila that opened its doors sometime in 2011. It is considered an undiscovered country for those looking for something new. It's all about art and the vinyl toys that is slowly getting quite a bit attention for the concept. This is certainly one of the places I started visiting, since discovering this place during one of the events that was held at RONAC's basketball gym.
