Galleria Nicolas | Open Arms
18 artworks are presenting Haraya’s second solo show, and the work she has put in with the pieces presented at the gallery is phenomenal with finer details and impressive brushstrokes that make the flowers pop and come to life Some of the art pieces now sold out or have been reserved if you noticed the orange round stickers in most of the notable artworks.
You can see the vibrant works catch your attention even if you’re just outside the gallery even though you are not into art or paintings. The gold grames make the difference as well and it is noticeable that her art style continues to grow with her previous works that stand out in group shows that she has participated.
The lines in her art are now crisp and clear in the way you would mistake the painting for being close to photorealism if you were at a distance. The colours of pinks and yellows work together as most would clash. But it finds the balance that has become a signature for her style that she deserves all the flowers in the world.
The First NFC Powered show
If you’re not into tech, this one will get your curiosity on how technology and art work together. Near-field communication (NFC) is a set of communication protocols that enables communication between two electronic devices over a distance of 4 centimeters (1.6 in) or less**. There’s a tiny chip-like rectangular in silver when you tap it with your iPhone or Android it lets you open the description of the painting that is featured in the gallery.
From disemboweled talking head to tapping on painting for description it certainly gives you an idea that technology helps enhance art. Not physically in appearance, but the way you see or interact with it gives it a more lively impression. The paintings that are featured at Galleria Nicolas are the first and as mentioned by Jomike, they will be accessible also to other artists being featured in this gallery. But also, in other galleries connected with Galleria Nicolas powered by This is Tapped.
Open Arms of Fun
This is not just an art exhibit, it’s about getting everyone to participate in her little game that features her paintings posted on social media. There are one-to-one prizes for those passionate enough to give their “open arms” to appreciate not only her art but to show how you appreciate life as it is.
It was a family-filled interactive show that only Haraya would have to get everyone to participate, and not just lounge around and have some wine and a couple of meaty skewers is something different in having reception day for art shows.
"Open Arms" is the second solo show featuring Haraya Ocampo-Tejido, which is currently on exhibit from 18 until 27 May 2024 at Galleria Nicolas in Greenbelt 5 Mall. For more about the other upcoming art shows, you can follow Galleria Nicolas on social media via Facebook and Instagram.
