CCP + Secret Fresh | Linya by Doktor Karayom

10.10.2016 – “Linya” is Doktor Karayom’s first ever solo exhibition at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), which is collaboration also with Secret Fresh art gallery. The art exhibition features a long line of random customized resin figurines.

The exhibit will have its inauguration on October 12th this Wednesday, which will be feature performances in the urban culture scene.

You can easily not miss this exhibit at its located at the second level halfway of the Pasilyo Vicente Manansala gallery that is the CCP Main Theater Building.


Rasel Trinidad known as Doktor Karayom has been around the art scene making memorable creations that define his style and an identity of that is unforgettable. “Linya” is his biggest solo exhibit at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, a place that features the art and culture of this country.

With intricate details and signature red and white colors makes “Linya” not just an experiment, but also defines how we stand in line for something. The exhibit itself is a mural that features a long line of customized resin figures on display that gives the title’s meaning for “Linya” in Filipino that meant ‘line’ of ‘to stand in line.’

In a Filipinoism terms to ‘fall in line’ to either waiting for your next ride home or lining up for something important that build a traffic full of individuals that reflect the figurines part for this exhibit.







Doctor Karayom’s solo debut at the CCP is not the last, but this is where his works will be noticed unseen in the mainstream culture. Defining his art style and his view of the world how people line up for something important. Just like the artist himself where people truly will line up to get their hands on his creation that would be considered unique in his own right that some might consider an original masterpiece.

“Linya,” the solo exhibition featuring Doktor Karayom is up from October 12 to November 13, 2016 at the second level of the CCP Main Theater at the Pasilyo Vicente halfway gallery.
