| 08.01.2013 – If you are a fan of the classics this is no intention to discuss something that would be related to #ThrowBackThursday but it sure is something that would be an interesting discussion. You see there’s this 1947 film titled “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” which is getting a revival.
It took three decades and a lot of “pushing it” that the film has finally gone into production. Originally it was supposed to have Jim Carrery for the role but things were changed over time Ben Stiller took the lead role and director. |
The classic was originally a short story in 1939 by James Thuber, one of the most famous Thuber stories that became into a movie and the rest was as they say history…
Of course the premise would take drastic updates for the modern times as “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” as the photo editor of Life magazine that have gone out of his comfort zone in search of a missing negative.
The story of a day-dreamer, Mitty (Stiller) who escapes his anonymous life by disappearing into a world of fantasies filled with heroism, romance and action. When his job along with that of his co-worker (Kristen Wiig) are threatened, Walter takes action in the real world embarking on a global journey that turns into an adventure more extraordinary than anything he could have ever imagined.
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty set to be shown in the Philippines on January 29, 2014 from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros. Picture Studios!
