| 03.12.2017 – When you hear Edgar Wright in passing there are a lot of thing in mind, namely his movies like the Three Flavours Cornetto Film Trilogy or his development in making Marvel’s Ant-Man happen after his highly publicised exit as director.
Of course who would forget Scott Pilgrim VS the World, but you haven’t heard his new film simply titled “Baby Driver.” |
Wright’s projects are small films that have a tremendous impact in the popular culture. No Wright fan can pass up on his next project but “Baby Driver” defines what he brings to the table about a fresh face kid with hearing problems who relies on music to get the job done, and also a very skilled driver who attracts a beautiful girl who works in a diner.
It’s an Edgar Wright trademark which also employs an ensemble cast that certainly hitting the right notes. The list is impressive but Ansel Elgort leads the cast that also have Kevin Spacy (Superman Returns), Lily James (Cinderella), Jon Bernthal (The Town), Jon Hamm, Jamie Foxx, Sky Ferreira, Meryll Streep, and Flea in a supporting and unspecified roles.

Ansel Egort, the guy named in the trailer as Baby has a unique set of skills and for a heist film he’s not your typical wheel man, who can drive a red Subaru Impreza being a chauffer to bank robbers. Obviously the story has the usual elements that make this one of those Wright films to be highly anticipated.
Written and directed by Edgar Wright this is surely going to be a fun film to catch in cinemas, but August 11, 2017 is not there yet so the waiting game begins…
