| 07.25.2012 – Solar Entertainment and United International Pictures held a press media screening for the political satire movie in The Dictator which stars Sacha Baron Cohen (Ali G, Borat and Bruno) as Aladeen from the fictional country of Wadiya.
The event was held at the Gateway Mall Cineplex lobby and the film was shown at the Cineplex 5. It’s one of the state-of-the-art cinemas using Boral cinema acoustical wall system with built-in JBL surround speakers driven by powerful QSC amplifiers which are incorporated with the very latest Dolby Digital EX theatrical sound system. |
The amenities outside the Cineplex is supported by the SNAXX counter offers the usual cinema favourites of soda, popcorn, hotdogs and nachos as well as candy, ice cream and other temptations. Though food was served by Solar UIP’s caterer one can never have popcorn watching a great movie which is also being sold inside the cinema.
Prior to seeing the film everyone was getting settled to their comfortable seats inside the Cineplex 5 which has similar details of the other cinemas in Gateway Mall.
The screen is crisp and clear powered by US-brand Simplex projectors and the stadium-style stepped seating is huge compared to the other cinemas which ensure an unobstructed view of the wall-to-wall screens from every seat and enough legroom to stretch.

There’s 10 screens in the Gateway Mall Cineplex depends on your convenience and value for your money. But at this night the experience watching The Dictator in the big screen inside Cineplex 5 was completely different. Though it might not be as action packed as recently released films it’s sure a treat with a different kind of venue that the Cineplex at the Gateway Mall can provide.
The Dictator opens today July 25, 2012 nationwide from Universal Pictures to be distributed by Solar UIP and acknowledgements to Araneta Center’s Gateway Mall Cineplex for hosting the special screening.
