Ted Lasso | "Carol the Bells"

There’s something optimistically funny about Christmas themed episodes on television, but it’s only August and the fourth episode of “Ted Lasso.” Though given the setting and timeline of the second season picks up in the middle of the new season it makes sense that this episode arrives with a different opening tag. Most of the TV Series that features a "Christmas Episode" airs it's shows around Thanks Giving, but this one came out right at the gate with this as a surprise.

Ted Lasso | "Do the Right-est Thing"

The third episode of for this second season of Ted Lasso was something of a build up from the past two episodes (now streaming on Apple TV). The surprise return of prodigal son Jamie Tartt after the fallout from last season, and his career going under after he got booted out from the reality TV from the last episode. It was unexpected that Jamie would return to AFC Richmond, but knowing Lasso who cared about people than wins there’s a narrative like keeping your eye on the ball.

Sonic the Hedgehog | Going Supersonic

02.24.2020 – There are iconic videogame characters and there’s Sonic the Hedgehog. It was unexpected seeing this one would be something special since I never was a fan of the character. But it was one of those games I played on the 16-Bit Sega Mega Drive from my high school classmate. Sonic achieved icon statues since Sega produced game consoles up until 2000 with their Dreamcast, which I owned but never had the game that was released in this platform. The cartoon series was heaps of fun getting to know more about the character his friends and Dr Robotnik. If Nintendo has Mario and Pikachu while Sony used to have Crash Bandicoot then Sega had Sonic. When the very first trailer was revealed on YouTube I never had expectations and basing from reactions from social media platforms it wasn’t the most impressive translation from games and animation to live–action. But the redesign was enough to give everyone hope in seeing that this video game-inspired movie would take off the sting of blockbuster failures that plagued previous video games adapted to films.

Film Press Review | Bad Moms

08.02.2016 – “Bad Moms” in the on set can be relatable to most mothers in real life. Some of them are single parents who have overly committed themselves that they put family first before their personal life. But this domestic life had its own twist and turns that you might not find some of its humor entertaining. There are no contradictions just fact how this was underrated in the first place as one of those non-epic films.
