LRMC Clean Up Day | "Live for the Rivers"

09.28.2016 – Everyday 1 Million metric tons of garbage is collected by one pumping station alone nearby river. There about 450 volunteers from various sectors has been preparing for a major clean up portion of the 7 kilometers Estero de Tripa Gallina (ETG), the longest water body in Metro Manila.

This was organized by the Light Rail Manila Corporation (LMRC) the operator for the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1). Three Barangays from Pasay City with student volunteers where present early in the morning for this clean up day.

LRT-1 Gets a Trial Run on Extended Hours

07.18.2016 – The Light Rail Transit or more commonly known as the LRT or the LRT-1 is the oldest elevated train ever built in the 1980s. It’s still the most convenient way to travel around Metro Manila from Baclaran Terminal 1 to EDSA Terminal 2.

There has been good news for those who frequently take the LRT on a regular basis as their mode of transportation side from the Buses and the commonly used Jeepneys. LRMC has released an announcement for those commuters who are taking the LRT.
