LRMC Clean Up Day | "Live for the Rivers"

09.28.2016 – Everyday 1 Million metric tons of garbage is collected by one pumping station alone nearby river. There about 450 volunteers from various sectors has been preparing for a major clean up portion of the 7 kilometers Estero de Tripa Gallina (ETG), the longest water body in Metro Manila.

This was organized by the Light Rail Manila Corporation (LMRC) the operator for the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1). Three Barangays from Pasay City with student volunteers where present early in the morning for this clean up day.

Pandas Celebrate with Honey Flavored Ice Cakes!

09.20.2016 – Pandas are one of the endangered creatures in the world and this is the reason why they are treated special.

Last month two of those well known creatures celebrated their birthday like any human on this Earth. But Pandas are special and they get to be treated with extra care and celebrating their birthdays is not exception.

Keepers at River Safari recently threw a birthday bash for giant pandas—Kai Kai and Jia Jia—with honey-flavored ice cakes decorated with apple and carrot slices, some of their favorite treats.

Kai & Junior for Manatee Conservation Programme!

08.12.2016 – Manatees are large, fully aquatic, mostly marine mammals sometimes known as Sea Cows.

There are three accepted living species of Trichechidae, representing three of the four living species in the order Sirenia: the Amazonian manatee (Trichechus inunguis), the West Indian manatee (Trichechus manatus), and the West African manatee (Trichechus senegalensis).

Two well known Manatees from River Safari have made the journey as part of the Wildlife Reserves Singapore and more details about this is documented…

Singapore Zoo Campaign to Save Rarest Tortoise!

06.16.2016 – The Singapore Zoo is one of the best places to make the visit when you’re in the city.

Though everyone would say that it’s common to visit a zoo its actually different how giving you a fresh perspective in appreciating this place.

This is not just a sanctuary where you can view some of the rare species around the world, but also promoting advocacy in saving some of the most endangered species that includes some of the rarest tortoise that they are campaigning to save.

The Concert: "A Night for Voices of Healing!"

08.08.2015 – If you’re into live concerts there’s an event being organized that will feature big names in Philippine entertainment industry. This benefit event is in support to campaign in raising funds to build a new school facility.

This is not just another structure to be built in some university. Details about this campaign is in line with the concert “Ang SOAP Opera ng Buhay Ko” (The Concert: Voices of Healing), which will be staged this month and more about this here…
