Human Nature | Don't Panic for Survival

The weekend seems a little bit grim due to the Corona Virus (COVID-19) and the Philippine government making announcements last night about locking down Metro Manila from 15 March to 14 April 2020 has been going around social media with different interpretations across the board.

This things should be a serious matter now that affects livelihood of many people across the globe as WHO (World Health Organization) has announced that the virus now Pandemic, but follow-up with a clarification that it is a “controlled pandemic” as countries started closing down on foreign visitors.

It’s like a scene from a sci-fi horror film but it is true that things are getting worse.

With that many people are off went panic buying in the groceries and supermarkets. In Australia alone, down in the South, where Cole’s and Woolworth’s running out of toilet paper as well as important necessities like food and water.

I’ve been out to SM City Manila last Thursday and chance upon the groceries increase of long queue of people stocking up major stuff last night, while I was just purchasing a snack to take home. The announcement from the past few days should give clarity on what people should be doing instead of hoarding things.

But society that has to join in the fray should stock up stuff and it’s not common when things like this happen. You can’t tell them off to calm down as anywhere in the world people are afraid and trying to survive this major crisis. This morning I was also at a nearby Japanese grocery store and it was quite intense that it took me fifteen to thirty minutes to reach the counter and it was calm most of it. But you can feel the tension in each customer wanting to get things done.

If this crisis has taught humans is to see who really are listening and who are just making things worse for the others. The best thing you can do is get the news straight from trusted sources and not just the government. Always be alert in our surroundings and always hope for the better. Have the courage to have an open mind and also compassion when things get heated up.

You’ll never know what\s going to happen next as this is the height of the human crisis that people should band together than behave like every human life for themselves. Sure, things can be testy but to survive find that middle footing.

The images though not that few can be difficult to understand but hey, the human race is at the point where things are getting rough there’s no way to go but to hold on to everyone. Tom and his wife Rita are giving this a fight after being diagnosed. Hopeful that one of my favorite actors will take this one say at a time.

I’m sure will hopefully do too. For now let’s get things than shall we?
