Mega Sardination | National Sardines Day
Mega Sardines started out a small company that dedicated to producing the best sardine brand in the Philippines. It consistently grew from a company that produce sardines into a global company humbled by its beginnings.
The sardine brand was all out during Sunday’s festivities in celebrating Mega Sardines not just as a brand, but a company that dedicates itself in producing the best product not only in its home country but also the rest of the world. The opportunity was to re-introduce the brand not only about canned tunas, but also to let the public knows that Sunday was “National Sardines Day.”
For this special day Mega Sardines celebrated this event at the Music Hall in SM Mall of Asia that was a preview of so many things such as activity booths, event program, and what is Mega Sardines is all about.
The Mega Sardines Activity
From a Mega Sardines ship that has all the information about how they manufacture their product to ginormous Mega Sardine can, a photo booth, and a Tuna Grabbing Machine there was so many things that occupied the visitors for this event and the event was also FREE ENTRY for everyone and all you need is register.
Nutrition and Health Program
Mega Sardines is not only about producing canned tunas they also have for a community health and nutrition program in partnership with Nutrition Center of the Philippines (NCP) that started with Barangay South Triangle a local suburb in Quezon City, which is located close to the Mega Sardines corporate office. They will also expand this advocacy to other local suburbs and its starts with Barangay South Triangle.
Introducing the Brand Ambassadors
Filipino personalities like GMA newscast and radio broadcaster Mike Enriquez, actress Dimples Romana, and actor/model Piolo Pascual was on-hand for the Nationla Sardines Day with the Mega Sardination excited to see these well-respected celebrities namely Pascual joining the Mega Sardines Family.
In closing the event Mr. William Tiu-Lim, founder and CEO of Mega Global Fishing and Canning spoke on stage how he appreciates the support for his product over the years and talked about supporting causes aside from the feeding program. He mentioned that there will be a museum that will feature the Mega Sardines brand and the future looks bright for the canned tuna.
