LEGO® Store Sighting | Big Brick Sale

02.10.2019 – From missing a LEGO® related gathering with one of the local communities to ending up in the nearby Certified Store was a long walk during one fine weatherly Saturday afternoon in Manila. The weekend was poised to be another eventful happening that has become a ‘norm’ in this country. When you only need to just roam around but due to missing out a local meet this one was quite a day.

The LEGO® Certified Stores are slowly opening their branches all over Asia, but it’s surprising that the Philippines have five already and the expansion with opening stores throughout the region is probably on their list knowing how big the community regarding the famous brick subdivided through a tribal of groups of collectors and enthusiasts.

I’ve been to the LEGO® Certified Store in Park Triangle several times as this was the first store to open in 2014. But I haven’t frequent the other ones until I end up at Ayala Malls the 30th branch one fine late Saturday afternoon after missing a community meet-up on Greenhills, San Juan. The last time I was at this store was a few couple weeks before heading to South Australia during my short stay in Manila.

During that time there was a live build to promote the Pirates of the Caribbean film tie-up LEGO® sets when the members of that local community was putting together the “Silent Mary” ship. The store was recently opened the year before and everything was so brand new. Well, even now the store is still brightly lit but the stocks of sets are not updated even though The LEGO® Movie 2: The Second Part is set to be shown in this country in a few days away.

Big Brick Promotional Sale

The LEGO® Certified Store is having a Buy One Get One promo as part of their Big Brick Sale and not only the big sets, but they also include the Minifigures Series up to the LEGO® Batman Series 2 Minifigures. Originally, the plan is to put together three new minifigures from the “Build-A-Minifigure” section that is what makes these Certified Stores by LEGO® unique until finding out that it was half the price.

Beside the enticing elements and accessories to make new minifigures that I can reuse to me mini projects I was caught off guard with the Buy One Get One promo not only applies to the sets, but also to the minifigure blind packs ending up getting some characters from series 15 and 17.

BUY ONE GET ONE on most sets and Minifigures Series.

You Know They Have a Policy Right?

Now a Certified VIP

When I was in Australia the only time I got myself a VIP card was with Toys R’ Us Australia and this was before the famed toy store filed for bankruptcy and closed all the stores with the exception of the ones in Asia namely the Philippines excluded.

The TRU VIP card is not like the Toy Kingdom card in the Philippines that you only get points, but due to the unfortunate developments it’s now just a novelty to have one. With the LEGO® Certified VIP card is similar to the SM Reward the aforementioned TK cards. The only difference is that the staff offered it to me for FREE and I just got mind while paying for the three new minifigures I built.

A Kid Digs Up at the "Build-A-MiniFigure" section since it's 50% Percent Off.

An added privilege that was definitely unexpected now having a VIP Card which is FREE.

This was not the first time I build three new minifigures as I’ve used some of the parts and accessories for my mini projects. What really caught my attention is the BUY ONE GET ONE promo which is currently happening in all LEGO® Certified Stores and also Build City branches.

Now it’s Awesome to come back for that.
