Walter Mitty Helps Tacloban Survivors!

12.17.2013 - What you do if you have $25, 000 US dollars? Casey Neistat, a filmmaker was supposed to spend that amount of money to produce a promotional video for the upcoming movie “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.”

But instead of spending all that money that would have featured Ben Stiller he went to the Philippines with his friends and spent it for canned goods and other food supplies to be donated to the survivors of Haiyan (Yolanda) that ravaged Tacloban last month.

The video will definitely amaze and inspire you to “live your dreams” to be resilient like the survivors of Tacloban. Neistat went above and beyond to help the residents of Tacloban providing 10,000 meals tools to 35 villages and basic medicine to local organizations.

Details of Casey Neistat’s journey was reported by Variety what he did with the advertising and promotional funds. You can view the documented video below:

From the Philippines, A VERY BIG THANK YOU to 20th Century Fox and Casey team.

“The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” also stars Kristen Wiig, Shirley McClaine, Sean Penn and Kathryn Hahn. It will open January 22, 2014 in Philippine cinemas nationwide.
