| 09.30.2012 – Liam Neeson has been known for notable roles as a Jedi Master in Qui-Gon Jinn, The mentor of Bruce Wayne as Ras al Ghul, the leader of a group of ex-soldiers as John “Hannibal” Smith, and the list goes on. Not to mention getting roles in art house films, but the movie Taken has defined Neeson’s career as an action star.
In the first movie Taken the premise of the film was the kidnapping of his daughter. In Taken 2 they are after him and his family after killing the Albanian human traffickers in the first film. It’s going to take a lot of bad guys in killing Bryan Mills but while you’re at it watch and enjoy the suspenseful ride. |
The film brings back the original cast of Liam Neeson, Famke Jenssen, and Maggie Grace as the Mills family who has gone through trials after the incident. The story picks up after the events in Paris, on a trip to Istanbul Mills gets a surprise visit from his daughter, Kim (Maggie Grace) and and his ex-wife, Lenore (Famke Janssen).
The happy reunion turns sour when Lenore is taken by people working for Murad Hoxha (Rade Šerbedžija), the employer of the men working in the Paris building where Kim's friend, Amanda, was found dead and the father of Marko Hoxha, whom Bryan killed in the previous film. With Lenore held hostage and Kim on the run, Mills must utilize all his lethal skills to rescue them and eliminate any who are seeking revenge against him.
