Galerie Stephanie | Prismal Paths

There are wonderful things that some might not be interested into, but when you try to interpret these works, which gives a new meaning to any individual who would describe them in their perspective.

They may be lines and colours, but for art is always subjective in nature that is redefined in a fresh perspective.

Galerie Stephanie’s current two-man show featuring Pepe Delfin and Jomike Tejido has been up since April 19th, and will be having its last viewing tomorrow as of this writing, which is winding down. The images may not do justice in seeing them best in person to give this show a send-off, but if you haven’t had the time here they are…

When you enter the farther end of Galerie Stephanie it is like being transported in another place and a different universe or a multiverse? But what makes things encapsulate it in one place is the depth of the colourful works of Jomike that makes you feel like a doorway of colours has opened and it might devour you.

For Delfin’s set of works it’s the shapes and sometimes the windows and endless doors that lead to endless nothings. It makes you think and imagine yourself in a maze or trying to make sense of the shapes that you would like to rearrange them like how you attempt to line up a Rubik’s Cube. That inviting moment when you try to interpret these works is quite the visual exercise that takes you to those paths.

Visually, both set pieces complement each other despite different styles. Both have their strengths and room to push further what they can really do in their next projects as you can see below the images from the gallery…
