Secret Fresh | The Sum of its Parts

12.04.2019 – There art that define emotion and imbued with so many aspect of expression.

It brings you to the realm of what the artists is trying to convey in their works, which define how they become a subject of interest and curiosity. And then there’s Paul Magisa, a masterful visual artists who has defined his work of shapes.

It gives you that challenge to define what his works is all about at the same time gives you that calm perspective to analyse those shapes and tone of the canvas that he puts together that defines “The Sum of its Parts” as his latest solo art show, a first with Secret Fresh Gallery this recent Sunday at the Ronac Art Center in San Juan, Manila.


Rarely, you will find such beauty inspired from the Japanese art form of folding paper in Origami. But Paul Magisa takes that inspiration of paper folding to the next level into his very own style that is also his signature in expressing his thoughts through this thought provoking images of black and white.

At the center of these defining shapes is his lone art installation encased in acrylic that would be considered the 3D form of his paintings. There’s also that large flat installation of those shapes that takes up the corner of the gallery where all of his works resides that can be a ‘mask’ or something that lets you defines it in your very eyes that’s like being thrown into the fifth dimension of inception.















The far end of the Secret Fresh Gallery can you find Paul Magisa’s work that rarely people get lost into. But when you do end up seeing it leaves you staring at all those intricate shapes and find your own definition that either invigorates your thoughts or just appreciate the minimalism of its entirely.
