VW Launches CC & Caddy at 6th PIMS!

09.15.2016 – Volkswagen was again one of the car manufacturers to take the spotlight in launching two brand new vehicles. The afternoon was tense and the media was anticipating something the German brand has been keeping under wraps. It’s been three years since it was re-introduced to the country, now ready for another surprise.

The sixth instalment of the Philippine International Motorshow did not disappoint and every other year they have something for event visitors. One of the bright spots of this car convention is the launch of the Caddy and the CC from Volkswagen.



Besides the two vehicles that was launched on the first day of the 6th 6th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) from September 14 to 18, 2016 is the Golf GTI Oettinger Edition, which is in its sleek mat black that’s parked alongside accessorized units of its top-of-the-line cars.

Though the new Golf craves attention the vehicles that represent Volkswagen was the introduction of the CC and the Caddy to the Philippines. Both vehicles where unveiled by Volkswagen’s turn were up to reveal what they have in store for everyone on a fine weather after noon.







The prestigious CC and the Caddy utility service vehicle where hidden underneath a grey cloth when they finally were introduced to the media and the public. The CC simple but elegant a class on its own was revealed together with the Caddy, a Volkswagen vehicle usually used for utility services.





CC

Volkswagen’s highlight display for this edition of the PIMS is the CC, the four-door comfort coupe. The CC held its premiere in 2008 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, and is the latest iteration of a successful line of sports and saloon coupes from Volkswagen dating back to 1955. The CC showcases in pure white combines the luxurious styling of an executive sedan with the sleek design of a sports coupé. It is powered by a 2.0 4-cylinder Turbo Direct Injection (TDI) diesel engine with Start/Stop System. The 177 Ps of power it is able to generate is managed by a 6-speed DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox) transmission system.

The CC’s safety and ride technologies feature eight Airbags, Electronic Stabilisation Program (ESP), Engine Drag Torque Control, Adaptive Chassis Control (DCC) with Drive Profile Selection, Electronic Differential Lock (XDS), and a Driver Alert System.

Interior amenities include 12-way electric driver seat with memory, massage and Active Climate function, and 12-way electric passenger seat with Active Climate function.







Caddy

Also making its Philippine debut is the Caddy, Volkswagen’s own take on the mini-van segment. First introduced in North America in 1980 and in Europe in 1982, the Caddy is now on its 3rd generation of production, and through the years has collected its fair share of awards. The Caddy in reflex silver is powered by a 2.0 TDI engine mated to a 6-speed DSG transmission system, generating 140 Ps of power.

Both vehicles along with the Golf GTI Oettinger Edition and other Volkswagen cars will be on exhibit at the World Trade Center Metro Manila until September 18th don’t miss the opportunity to see it!
